Capoeira Class Update OPEN FLOOR CAPOEIRA CLASS Did you know that all monthly students can come train Tu/Th/Sat from 12:30-2. The studio is open for you to come and work on any thing that you are interested in. March 26th it the Pizza Pasta Paradise party. From 6:30-7:30 we will eat lots of food. Please bring some to share and help us eat what is there. We will have guest teachers weekly at the Center. Make sure you take advantage of different styles of Capoeira. Samba has been replaced this session by Zumba. Due to the high demand for more Zumba classes we now have Zumba Tu/Th at 8pm and Mon 10am
PARENTS NIGHT OUT Saturday March 13th we will host a Parents Night Out at the Center. Activities will begin at 6pm, pick up must be by 10pm. Food and drinks will be provided and the cost is $25 for one child and $15 for each additional child. Registration is required at the Center or on our website on the Student page. We are also considering splitting the kids class into beginner and intermediate with partial overlap. Beginners class would be from 5:45-6:45, Intermediate would be 6:15-7:15. May 1st at the Montclair Art Museum is our Annual Batizado All students should have changed their cords in December. No Guerreiros students are allowed to wear their old cords to class. All U.S. Guerreiros students are now using the Guerreiros cord system used in Brazil. Any students that missed the Troca should make special arrangements to change their cord. Complete information on Cord Conversion can be found at the Center and on our website NEW CLASSES Zumba has added a new class on Tuesdays from 8-9pm Belly Rhythm has added a class on Thursday at 7pm There are more classes that have been added to our Center. There is a class almost every day of the week and they all allow drop in students. Pick a day and come dance with us! ROAD TRIP Thursday March 4th we will do a show at St. Peters College at 7pm Saturday March 6th Monitora Raposa will teach a kids workshop in Longbranch at 3pm followed by an open roda. All parents are encouraged to bring thier children. Tuesday March 23rd we will do a show at Drew University at 7pm CONTACT LIST & DIRECTORY OF SERVICES We would like to post a contact list and service directory on the secure student pages of our website. The list would include student name (and parents for kids), Capoeira name, contact email, website and or phone number as well as occupation or service offered. The people in our Center may be able to assist others with needed skills and services. We have Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Brokers, Electricians, Web Designers and more who all have our Center in common and may be able to assist one another.
